How to fix Media Server Issue?-Battery Drainer

Mediaserver battery drain issue mainly occurs on Android custom ROMs. Even on some official ROMs (mainly on lower-mid range devices with octa-core or quad-core processors clocked at higher frequencies) we have seen this issue.

Mediaserver?

Mediaserver scans all the available media files (photos, videos, songs etc) and index them, so that instead of performing full scanning again and again all applications can access the files faster while required.
So basically Mediserver is designed to reduce disk I/O for providing faster response (or output).

But the Mediaserver battery drain issue is a real pain as this bug drains all of your battery  and your fully charged smartphone could die even in less than 2 hours and your phone will be overheated badly.

So if you are facing overheating, battery drainage issue go and check the “Battery Usage” (Settings->Battery) and if you observe Mediaserver is consuming most of the battery, then probably the media scanner tends to be buggy.

Main reason :
More number of files in your storage that is like <10kb unwanted files ,images ,text's
in external or internal storage.

 My Solution  :

You may follow the steps below to resolve the issue based on my own experience

1.Just force stop or disable your mediaserver process in app manager.and restart it

2.Again it continues then remove your external memory card and put it again .

3.After that restart and check battery status. Now it will be gone.

But I Did the last 2nd step and fixed that issue after trying more methods.
